The Christian Council of Britain is a patriotic Christian organisation that is not ‘politically-correct’ and that will stand up for what is right and for Britain’s heritage.

We comprise a Permanent Executive of up to seven persons, all Trinitarian Christians, to run the Council and act on a national basis, and a number of Local Spokesmen who are empowered by the Executive to act on behalf of the Council on local issues. We also have expert Consultants who liaise with us and advise on relevant issues.

Members of the Council can be either Christians who accept and acknowledge the Trinity, or simply people who may not be believing Christians but who still value and wish to uphold the Christian heritage of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The Christian Council of Britain’s Mission Statement is:

“To promote Christian views and values in our Nation and society; and to counteract cultural and ideological challenges and threats from extreme ideologies which would seek to undermine, persecute, or legally prosecute Britain’s national and Christian heritage as a basis for an attack on the free, open, liberal and democratic nature of her People, and of their society.”

The Christian Council of Britain has been set up to fulfill this Mission Statement through national and local campaigning and by obtaining a voice in the media for patriotic Christians.

We are instigating public debate on matters of morality, the first such debate to be held in London at the end of October 2007, the subject of which is ‘The Criminal Justice Act (Proposed Amendments) – Morality and Family Values’. Subsequent debates being organised include the subject of abortion and the impact of the Education Act and Budgetary Tax Reforms on Religious and Sex Education and the status of marriage.

We promote and defend the Christian stance in government consultations on policy and legislation and we challenge anti-Christian, anti-family propaganda and activities in the media, the professions and wherever else they occur. We will work with like-minded organisations to end the undermining of Britain’s Christian family morality and Christian heritage from whatever source these attacks, insidious or overt, long-term or sudden, originate from
